How to View SSL Certificate Details on Chrome
Probably all of you know what the SSL certificate is and how this SSL certificate helps us to have a secure connection (HTTPS) with websites by now. this day’s everyone looks at the beautiful green padlock next to the website address to make sure that he or she has secure and trusted connection. I just always like to see this little green sign.
by clicking this green padlock you will see the certificate details. that helps admins a lot, trusted domain, issue authority, expire date and … are some of this information.
however, by latest update of google chrome in version 56, this option has been removed! I don’t understand why but it just happened. in this update, you will not see the detail by just simply clicking this green padlock. to be honest some days I just used another web browser to check the details, but finally, I found time to search on the internet for the solution. (this means I am so busy 🙂 )

Solution:
You will see the certificate details under “Security” tab in the developer tools in chrome 56. so, use one of 2 methods below to open your chrome developer tools.
Method 1:
On the Windows machine, you just need to use keyboard shortcut below:
Ctrl + Shift + I or F12
Or if you use Mac OS use:
⌘ + Option + i
Method 2:
Click on the menu (⋮) displayed on the top right corner after the browser address bar, and navigate to More tools > Developer Tools.

Select the “Security” tab, a second right option with default settings. and then if you click on “View Certificate” you will see the certificate details.
